PET mold is one of the most widely used mold tools in industrial production. It is used as a special tool on various presses and loading presses. It uses pressure to make metal or non-metallic materials into desired shape parts or products. PET mold is a tool for producing PET plastic products, which consists of several sets of parts that are combined to form a mold cavity. During injection molding, the PET mold will be clamped onto the injection molding machine, and the molten plastic will be injected into the mold cavity, cooled and shaped in the cavity. Then, the upper and lower molds will be separated, and the product will be ejected from the mold cavity through the ejection system, leaving the mold. After that, the mold will be closed for the next injection molding. The entire injection process is cyclic.
Molds are divided into plastic molds and non plastic molds. Plastic molds are produced through casting molds, forging molds, stamping molds, and die casting molds, including faucets, pig iron platforms, car bodies, computer panels, superalloy cylinder bodies, television housings, keyboard buttons, beverage bottles, watering tubes, plastic bags, and transparent packaging housings.
PET molds can be divided into three types based on the molding of the pouring system: large water mouth molds, fine water mouth molds, and hot runner molds.
Large water spout molds are designed with runners and gates on the parting line and demoulded together with the product during mold opening. They are simple in design, easy to process, and low in cost. Therefore, many people use large water spout systems for operations.
The fine nozzle mold is one in which the runner and gate are not on the parting line, but usually directly on the product. Therefore, it is necessary to design multiple sets of nozzle parting lines, which are relatively complex in design and difficult to process. Generally, it is necessary to select a fine nozzle mold based on the specific requirements of the product.
The principle of hot runner mold is roughly the same as that of fine nozzle mold. The difference is that there is an additional hot runner plate with constant temperature at the runner, without cold material demolding, and the runner and gate are directly on the product. Therefore, the runner does not require demolding, which is difficult to process, and the mold cost is high.
Characteristics of PET mold:
PET molds are designed using 3D computer graphics to improve the success rate of bottle blowing.
PET mold is made of alloy steel and stainless steel, durable and stable.
